I wanted to make a quick quilt for the new baby who lives next door. I had raided my Mom's stash a few months ago and found a super bright jungle animal print that I knew would make a great snw. I really like the way it turned out, but I'm thinking it will be a playtime quilt because I'm not sure anyone could sleep under a quilt that's a bright as this one!
It went together so quickly, I cut it out on Tuesday late afternoon and finished handstitching the binding on Friday. I do believe that snw will be my new go to for a quick quilted gift. Oh, and by the way, the little cornerstone squares are mini 4 patch stacks that were cutaways from the large wedge stacks, I love them! That is very cute... Love those bright happy colors.

I love to use bright colors for baby quilts! I read an article once that said, bright colors stimulate the brain and baby's who are surrounded by them are smarter and more advanced!! They talk sooner and are more alert. SO I always prefer to make baby quilts in brights unless the parents ask for pastels. You did good...crafty_linda_b

Well done. I like Whack n Stacks too.

What a fun quilt! When baby gets a little older it can be a kind of I Spy quilt, matching the animals in the blocks with the ones in the border.
