I have made several of these now, always fun and allows you to stretch your improvisation muscle.
There is no pattern. It is just sew and flip to a foundation of used dryer sheets. They are light enough so that when you put the binding on there is not too much bulk. I find that this size is perfect not to bulky...very chew-able and made with cotton fabric it should be safe for baby...

Oh my gosh! What a great idea! I have been collecting book panels to make fabric books for my great-nephew's Christmas gift. Now I have to add one of these too! A numbers book would be fun too!

Oh, I think you have started something. That is way too cute. We have a 6th month old grandbaby that I'm going to HAVE to make one your books for. :-)

Not at all, I love to share....also this works well with a conversation print, just use a fat quarter with a nice motif and fussy cut them out...don't be too neat. I did one with kittens called Pretty Kitty and one with puppies called Arf Arf. I think it would make a great I spy book as well or use portions of a great border print maybe with African animals.....once your imagination gets going there is no end to the books you can make....please share your version here so we can all see it.
