Bag pattern

1 Attachment(s)
Someone put on board about MSQ having a tutorial with crafty Gemini doing a bag with fusible fabric. I have ordered this but it will take a while to come to me so in the meantime I wanted to try out this pattern. I had a fabric which is thicker than interfacing so gave it a try. The only problem was there was no "sticky" on it but I just pinned the straps etc. I am very pleased how it came out and have decided to use up a lot of scraps making these. Hope the pic comes through.

Kool Bag. M*QC has the larger size fusible fabric. I also plan to make one. Hope mine turns out as good as yours did. BrendaK

Thank you all for comments and yes they are very addictive I have made another two but the scraps seem to be multiplying so I'll just keep making as it is a good idea for presents.

Doubletroube I watched Jenny from MSQ and she had Gemini on with her doing the tutorial for this bag and I just followed. I didn't have the interfacing that she used but improvised with I think thick curtain lining fabric and it turned out ok. I ordered the fusible interfacing she was using but it is out of stock so have to wait for it.

Cute bag..

Fizzle 03-29-2015 11:58 AM

Super cute bag! :) if I am thinking of same tutorial, it was an interfacing that they laid out flat and sewed strips of fabric on top? Gemini showed how it crinkles up yet still retains shape.? I also tried to order and they were out but I found some at Joanns. It was such a challenge for me to sew with! Hard to maneuver, a little slick. I used it with a different pattern. "the Friday Bag". Loved the concept and the completed bag but It might not have been the best use of the interfacing.
