A Bag from the Scrap Bag

It always amazes me, what can be made from scraps. Made for a friend who specifically asked for a 'scrappy bag'. Thanks for looking.

I like it a lot. the colors alone make it a bag I would love to carry with me.

Wow, if I saw that in your grocery cart, first of all, I would compliment you on how beautiful it is, but I would never have guessed it was made from scraps. 👍

It may be scrappy but it sure looks professional..............great job, and I love it.

bearisgray 10-17-2020 06:06 AM

I would not call that "scrappy" - I would call it well designed using multiple fabrics.

anne2016 10-17-2020 06:18 AM

Beautiful bag! Did you use a particular pattern? Willing to share it?

Jordan 10-17-2020 06:19 AM

That is a great bag and to think it is made up from scraps. You did a marvelous job on it and especially like how you made the handles. Wonderful job.

Anne2016, there really isn't a pattern for the scrappy part. As for as the bag itself, there are multiple patterns on the internet for basic bags. I have done similar bags using piano key-type strips and sashing, or orphan blocks.

It has great design features. The triangles were a wonderful addition.

SallyS 10-17-2020 01:39 PM

That is such fun to look at! And to think you made a wonderful something out of nothing. Good for you!

A clever creation from the scrap bin. Love it!

That is so beautiful, and so skillfully constricted! I love the tiny squares on the handle and at the top! Now you have me thinking...... so inspiring!

https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/tongue.png That is a Scrap Happy Bag! I like how the black and white give your eyes a place to rest and make the colors pop!
