Bag using Tink's wonderful tutorial
3 Attachment(s)
First off, thank you Tink, for posting that very clear tutorial! Ever since I saw the first bag you posted I wanted to make one. I get to go to a quilting retreat in November in Oregon and I feel this is definitely retreat "worthy". I quilted this with ginkgo vine because the batik strip and the top part have that vine in it. I'm really happy with how this bag turned out. It has soft and stable (I think that's the name of it) which makes it stand up and I put a stiff bottom in an envelope of fabric as I wanted the bottom to be a bit stiff, too.

Beautiful bag!

After reading the tutorial, I have a question. When you sew the seams across the bottom of the bag, she said to cut off the corners of the lining but not the outside. What did you do with them? Did you just leave them in the inside of the bag??
|
I love it, wish I was that clever :)
|
It's beautiful! Tink did a great job with her tutorial, and you used it to perfection.
