Great fabrics and great design.

Very nice! I can see the possibilities. If you made one piece from each side match in color you'd get a whole new view. Lovely..

ISN'T it funny, when we look long enough, we see different designs. I'm seeing what Chicca is seeing. Fabulous!

It's lovely Jenn. Love the soft colors and your pattern. So much movement with the circles.

Beautiful pattern and great with 1930's. Can you share a tutorial?

The tutorial is this:
From Quiltblocklibrary.com the block pattern called Greek Cross can be downloaded for $1. The block is not available on Quilters' cache. the value placement on the sample block makes it seem like it is very different from what I have made.
There is a mistake on the pattern from Quilt block library. They give you the templates for the triangle (which I've used as the leaves), and the trapezoid (which I've used as the petals). However, they forgot to add a seam allowance to the trapezoid! You have to add it to that one template. Another good tip: you cut cut all four petals for each flower from a 10" square of fabric- good for those layer cakes.
This quilt is 16 Greek Cross blocks with a special border that I figured would make the illusion of curves stronger, and the leaves pointier.

Very good practice on Y-seams. I needed to do this before I start on something like a LeMoyne star or Mariner's Compass.
