Baltimore Progress

I have been away in New Zealand for the last month so have not been around-a months worth of Quilting Board emails to catch up on. I have missed my daily fix of inspiration. I designed the border on my Baltimore before going to NZ so hand stitched all that while I was away so it is now already to quilt. So that is all I have done for a month. Mind you there were 2 Craft Fairs on in NZ and I timed it unknowingly when I made all my air fare bookings that I got to see both so that was a bonus. Have come back with lots of ideas/patterns/fabrics now just have to make the time. Another cyclone off the coast so it is a wait time to se what it does-would welcome some more days off work so I could sew??.
Hopefully I will get to spend more time on the Board after a months absence

Breathtaking quilt. Last year at guild one of the LAer's showed a quilt with many of those same blocks after she finished quilting it. The maker had her quilt the year under the ship and then she did all different fills behind the applique and a microfil in the ship block to get the quilted date to pop up. Some of the applications she did was echo quilting, radiating lines tiny mussle shells, pebbling, little tiny feathers. She took a lot of inspiration from Sharon Schambers. It was spectacular. as I am sure yours will be as well.
