Bama Purse

2 Attachment(s)
I have a SIL who is a die hard Alabama fan. Last year I give her a painted coconut and told her it was a Key West football. :D This year I made her a purse. I hope she likes it.

Thanks for looking.

She should love it. Made a black and red "little quilt" for a friend who is a die hard Bucs fan, but waiting until next year to give it to her.

I bet she will love it! Great job!!!

Cute purse, great job.

dunster 12-18-2011 08:44 AM

That is a very nice bag. Was it difficult to make? Were the directions clear? I'm thinking about making some bags and haven't found the right pattern yet.

piepatch 12-18-2011 09:08 AM

Very nice! I like this purse a lot. I think I may have this pattern tucked away somewhere, if so, I want to get it out and make it now!

Blinkokr 12-18-2011 09:10 AM

Just beautiful, great job
Have a Blessed day
Ellen

I didn't find it hard to make. The pattern name is Margo Handbag by Lazy Girls Designs. I finished it in about 5 hours.

Great job. I have designed a new Bama bag and made it for our granddaughter. We're all big Alabama fans.

Love the bag design, but know little of the team.

sewsewquilter 12-18-2011 07:36 PM

Thanks everyone! My husband is a Ole Miss fan. (Yes, he is use to disappointment.) Usually he likes to see what I make. Not this time. lol SEC fans will understand. :)

What a great bag for a Bama fan! The houndstooth fabric just makes it sing.

I love all of the Lazy Girl Designs purses. Joan Hawley's directions are clear, concise and each step is complete with color photographs! I highly recommend them ... I've made 5 of her patterns and they are all top notch. JMHO

IrishNY 12-19-2011 07:14 PM

She'll love it. The houndstooth fabric is the perfect accent.

MomtoBostonTerriers 12-19-2011 07:23 PM

Sewsew,

What a great bag -- and I hope your friend will be able to take it to the national championship game on 9 January. The use of houndstooth fabric is perfect, and will be appreciated by any Tide fan who was around during the Bear Bryant era. Roll Tide!

P.S. My Dad is also an Ole Miss alum and he, too, is used to losing to the SEC teams. I try not to be annoying to him when Bama plays Ole Miss each year. Dad is 91 years old and he hopes to live long enough to see Ole Miss have a winning year. :-)

DonnaB 12-19-2011 07:27 PM

I'm sure she will love it, it is very nice.

bamamama 12-19-2011 07:31 PM

Haven't seen that Bama Fabric before. You did a really good job on the purse. Roll Tide.
