Here's the blanket I made for my granddaughter's baptism. It's an eyelet bed skirt reclaimed. I started to make a sort of layered blanket but it looked like curtains so I decided on a square without any backing. It's got a pink ribbon in the middle that was used on my DD & SIL's wedding cake. Doesn't show up very well in this photo.
Sort of wrinkled after her daddy wadded her up in it. tee hee |

Thanks for all the compliments. Had to do it in a rush. DD was going to wait for a couple months then on Tuesday decided on the baptism at the end of the week.
What took time was when I decided to "french" the diagonal seams------by hand. I'm not a fast by hand sewer and had to quit a few times due to arthritis. |
