Barbados Bag
1 Attachment(s)
This is the first purse - tote bag I've made.
All 24 plus steps, 3.5 days of subzero weather in Michigan helped. It was a challenge that turned out beautiful and not in the UFO mystery box. There was also a review on line that really helped. Follow one step at a time and you can do make this bag. Can't wait for its coming out day. Thanks for looking Donna Michigan |

Oh I love that bag and the fabrics you chose is exactly what I would have chosen..great job!

Nice looking bag! I have yet to dip my toes into making a bag/purse but I do have a pattern for a small one. The fabrics you chose for this are perfect.

Nice bag, I like the fabric.
We had the same cold in MN, but I didn't get anything sewn. Mike |
I like that. Nice job...may have to try making bags/purses again. Way back in the 70's I made tapestry flapped bags, but yours looks infinitely better!!

A wonderful project - and complete no less. I've been quilting a lot too, since this cold winter has kept me in so much. Am enjoying it in the best way possible.

Congratulations on your
lovely finish. |
Beautiful bag. I've been wanting to make one. Right now I don't feel like quilting. I'm in the mood to make other things.
|
Very pretty and well done.
|
Gorgeous bag! I love making bags, they are so fun and there's nothing like that feeling when someone says, "what a great bag, where did you buy it?" and you get to say, "thank you, I made it!" I love the butterfly batik fabric
|
Thank you Whitney60 for including a picture of the pattern. Great purse.
|
Beautiful job. I started one in brown batiks for fall. Misplaced it and just recently found it. I probably should finish it and start one for spring. I love the size and shape of the bag. Your colors are perfect. You have inspired me to pull mine out and finish!
|
Very nice bag and I love the colors also!
|
Very nice. i want one!
|
Beautiful bag and great choice of colors. Connecting Threads is selling a kit right now with fabric, hardware and zippers in a blue and green combination. I've been considering it to get the tote bag making experience.
|
Great job! It's beautiful.
