Bargello Beacon
 

My first attempt at a "simple" bargello and machine quilting. (I am a hand quilter) I thought it was going to be easier if I missed the seams, but later wish I hadn't. However, I was fairly happy with the result after many hours of unpicking and presented it to my sister for her birthday. Fortunately she loved it.

That is very nice. I really like the way you added the top and bottom 'borders'. I think it balances the bargello really well. Great job!

Great looking quilt, never saw a simple bargello before. I think this would be the one that I would try to make!

The end result is certainly worth the hard work yo put into it. I know she will love it.

Very nice. Hope you enjoyed making it. I recently made my first Bargello with batiks and absolutely loved it. The Jelly Roll Bargello book is excellent, by the way.

Eleanor Burns has a bargello pattern with missed seams that has been tempting me. Why wouldn't you do that again? And your quilt is lovely!

I love that quilt. I like bargello's but they've never been a favorite of mine. However, I can see why your sister is happy with it. Your hand quilting is wonderfully done & you selected very pretty colors for it.
