It took me over 100 hrs, this include ironing, cutting, ripping seams, sewing and more sewing. I enjoyed every minute! Good luck.

Well done! Excellent piecing - especially for your first. Those thin stips can be ... errr ... troublesome.

What's the best way to quilt a bargello? I am piecing my first bargello which is for a queen size bed. I usually hand quilt but want to machine quilt this one. Do I have to stitch in the ditch each piece?

Sorry for the delay in responding, I had a professional quilter quilt it for me. No yet confident to try quilting myself.

I registered this quilt at the Ottawa Valley Quilt Guild Show, held this past weekend. I won a "Ribbon", 3rd place in my category. This is my first bed size quilt (I had done two lap quilts prior to undertaking this one). This is my first time putting a quilt in a show and I was lucky to walk away with a "ribbon", wow, so so happy. Thank to all of you for your kind words. Thought I should share the last of tid bit news on this quilt. It's now going to its new home on July 1st! My daughter is anxiously awaiting for it. :)

Hi, no stitch in the ditch for this one. I have done the 1/4" seam only. The professional quilter was able to quilt over each and every single pieces. She's done an amazing job.
