Beautiful quilt. I have been wanting to make one for some time but not sure how to pick the colors. Did you find choosing the colors the hardest? I am no good at that so think I may need to go to a lqs for help. Your quilt is one of the prettiest ones I have seen. Even the back is gorgeous.

I would love to try this. I looked through 19 pages of tutes but couldn't find it. Anyone know where this beautiful pattern is located?
thx, Linda

I had never tried a bargello, but when Barb helped us with a tute it was sooo easy to do and to follow.. the hardest part was picking all the colors.. I did two using her pattern..the first one with her help and the second one all on my own.. this pattern is very doable....
Thank you again Barb for your skills and your patience.. I love both of mine !

pennyswings1 10-17-2011 08:11 AM

Though I usually pick out the fabrics for my bargello quilts, my niece picked out the fabrics for this one. I had not made any quilts with yellow in them, so I ask her to do it. I told her how many yellows and how many blues to get and this is the out come. I did save out one of the blues to use as an inner border so that I could use the blue print in two different places.
