I love the quilt. That is one of my dreams, to do a Bargello Quilt. Was it hard to do?
No, they are not hard to do. They take a little more prep time than a regular quilt, as they are a QAYG type of quilt, although a much bigger one. This is the second one that I've done. The first one, I took a class using the book by Marge Edie "Bargello Quilts". I do mine a little differently, I use a gridded fusible interfacing pressed on over the batting, that way, it's much easier to keep things lined up. So I lay the backing down, use spray adhesive, place the batting, then PRESS (it stretches if you iron) the gridded interfacing, then pin to hold everything in place. Then you build your bargello from the center out. Hope this gives you some ideas. Get started, they are addictive
