Barnbum, I love your idea! That is going to be a gorgeous quilt! The pictures of the horses have turned out very nicely! I don't think it would be too much green. you could possible use different shades of light and dark to give it more of a contrast. I think with the barn colors, it will look perfect! I can't wait to see it!

BTW how is your mare that was sick a few days ago. hope she is "back on full feed" now. that is an expression my dad used to say.

nanabirdmo--Gypsy is just fine. It took a day of watching--but I think she must have gotten a thorn in her mouth from the hay. I only think that because I had some in my gloves. So now all hay is checked with bare hands. The vet thought she was choking, but she didn't show the right symptoms... I kept her on Banamine and syringed warm water with Karos syrup in her to keep her from colicking...and checked her every 45 minutes all day. She's 100%, but I have more gray hairs. :wink: Thanks for asking!!

live2teach--I have very dark greens for the trees--and you can see the grass shades... I'm glad you feel it'll be fine. I can see why the original mixed tans, blues and greens for the background!! I am going to limit greens in the log cabin border. Lots of blue there--since I have so much left from not using much sky. :roll:

PS--The students are having DARE right now...I'm headed back to grading. It's nice to take a break and visit during the day!! :D

I am glad Gypsy is fine... I knew you were going out to the barn every 45 minutes or so :( However I was too scared to ask.. Was not sure if the outcome was positive or not.. I fought a battle last week for my favorite milk goat and I did not win...

Diamonds, I'm so sorry to hear about your milk goat. It's very hard to lose a furry friend. :cry: My granddog is going downhill very fast, and the vet thinks he has lymphoma. Very sad - he's only 6 yrs old. :cry:

What kind of goats do you have? I came real close last summer to buying a pygmy goat. I hear the females make great house pets, and can be house trained. I was told the billies where more stubborn. She was so cute and little. But I did'nt feel I was knowledgeable enough to get one. But it's still in my thoughts. And I don't feel I would be fair to her, with out a companion, like another pygmy.

diamonds we have about 35 goats and 2 milk goats one is a apalition i know i didnt spell that wright she does not have ears the are 2 little pointy things and we have another milk goat it hurts me to lose one i feel for you they are just like your children thanks dorothy from tenn

Rebecca pygmy goats are cute but Nubians are just bigger and just as friendly.. Also great for milking... It is true goats can be house trained...

Thanks all for the kind words about Lipse... She was a Nubian :thumbup: Gentle, loving and just so darned cute... She acted more like a dog than a goat :lol:
