Just finished my first quilt using Batik fabric, long arming Batik and using a babtist fan template. I bought the jelly roll from a fellow board member. I intended to donate this one for the women's shelter, but I may keep it to give as a gift. I used a red batik for the back but I don't know if it would look so good as the binding too. What do you think?

There is no red in the top of the quilt so I wouldn't use it as a binding. If you made a pieced binding with the colors in the top and the red, that may work. I mean, isn't that what binding does? Binds it all together?
How about a blue for the binding? That would look great on the front and back?
Nice! How about blue or tan for the binding?
Thanks. I'm going to use a dark blue.

Beautiful quilt!! There is no red in the top of the quilt so I wouldn't use it as a binding.

That's just gorgeous. I don't think I would use red for the binding though since there's no red in the top. Just my two cents worth! Great job!
