Well Chuck it seems as if all the super, great, goregous words have been spoken. All I can say is DITTO to all of them. This quilt is one of a kind and the quilting is beyond beautiful. Maggie is totally awesome. How long did it take her to do this by hand? My brain just can't wrap around the talent it took for both of you to create this beauty. By the way if you have too many sisters an Aunt might come in handy (can I be that Aunt)? Please let Maggie know how in awe of her talent I am. Goes without saying your talent also. BrendaK
Maggie stated that she has about 40 hours into the quilting. I can not believe that she does it freehand. I wish I had a thimble full of her talent. She was telling me that she has a stock pile of quilts waiting to be quilted and I know why, with that talent. Her website is http://www.maggiestopstitchquilting.com/ |
Your quilt is beautiful!
Sunbonnet has the right words. Breath taking!!!!!!!!!!
That is absolutely spectacular... Not only the Dresdens themselves, but the quilting. What a joy to see!
How about Chucks Rainbow - love what you did here!
Love the bright colors, beautiful quilt.
Dresden Vine? Just beautiful!
fabulous quilting. Beautiful Dresden Plates is perfect. A georgeous pattern and placement of the plates on the border. "Breathtaking" could be another name.....
Like stated before...breath taking!!!!!
Oh My, beautiful, stunning. Don't know about a name, but I know a place it could live for awhile!!
This is so gorgeous!
Wow - this is a beautiful quilt - I'm in awe.
Rainbow Delight !
That is one of the most beautiful quilts I have seen in a long time!
Beautiful quilt.
Incredible! The fmq is excellent, the colors stand out against that cream-colored background. Your border uniique with the 3/4 Dresden in the corners and half Dresden in between, very creative, well thought out and executed.
"Spinning Plates", such movement you created, with the stripes in the plates themselves, crisp points and Maggie's quilting.Your brother is sure to be ecstatic and speechless! |
Beautiful quilt, I love it done in batiks. Maggie does a great job, she has been quilting my quilts since she started.
Beautiful ... the longarm quilting is gorgeous too!
Wow! This is one stunning quilt! Kudos!
Beautful!!!! The piecing and the quilting!!! Don't know what to tell you to name it, but I know the name will not be as beautiful as the quilt.
I have never really been a fan of the Dresden Plate pattern, until I saw yours... WOW, it's absolutely beautiful.
What a spectacular quilt! Well done. Ow about Specacular Dresden for a name?
What a beautiful quilt! Love it!!!
How about adding rainbow to the name because of all of the bright colors, maybe Spinning Rainbows or Spinning Rainbow Dresdens. I just love it!
That looks like show quality quilt and quilting. I would name it "Dresden Beauty".
beautiful quilt!!!!!
Beautiful quilt. I think something with rainbows in the name would be appropriate. :)
I would name it "absolutely gorgeous"!!!
