Batik quilt for a my five year old grand nephew
 

My little grandnephew is full of sparks. I made him a twin size quilt that reflects his sunny and mischievous personality, using batik prints with the colors of the sun and the ocean. This was my second attempt to free motion quilt. I wasn't completely satisfied with my quilting, but I figure it is all part of the learning process.

Great color choices! With the photo taken in front of grass and trees, your border fabric blends right in and makes the edges of the quilt look transparent ;o) Your quilting looks really good to me, and I like the pattern you chose in the triangles.

This is a great quilt that will last him a long time.

Is the hst that forms a flying geese unit because of his being mischievous? I like it sounds like it suits his personality!
