A batik Spicy Spiral and a Scrappy Mystery quilt
3 Attachment(s)
The dark batik Spicy Spiral was for my oldest daughter's birthday. It has a serious error - it almost became potholders, but I couldn't bring myself to cut it up.
The Scrappy Mystery quilt from Judy's Train ride thread will be a Quilt of Valor as soon as the case and label are finished. It's going to a young lady. It's brighter than the pictures - coral and purple. Now how did the back come up first? |
They are both beautiful I really like the spiral effect.

I love your spiral and the quilt is very pretty, too! Great job!

Both are very nicely done. Love the colours. Thank you for sharing.

Love them both! Curved binding can be tricky, you did a wonderful job and I especially like the way you matched the binding to the fabric.

Both are very pretty. Don't know what happened with the Bargello but its pretty.

Joyce, I found a wedge behind the sewing machine after the runner was together and partially quilted- look in the cream row between wedge 7 and 8 (from when the cream starts) See the big jump. Obviously, all the colors are off, but it shows most in the light area. I didn't tell my daughter. I keep forgetting to ask her if she's found the error.
Paperprincess, changing colors was tricky, but with both batik runners, I felt there was no other way. I don't have a picture of the beachy one. It is gorgeous. Off to visit #4 daughter and grab a picture. |
