Carolyn brought me this quilt, its all out of reproduction fabrics, and it is beautiful, she said quilt it how ever you want. I looked at it and decided it needed to look vintage... I outline every triangle with a little longer stitch, to give it that hand quilted look, I did a feather wreath in the large squares and a small design in the smaller ones, I also did a feather and leaf motif in the large triangles, with a feather and vine border..
It has warm and natural batting and the backing is a large blue flower that went perfect with the quilt. she loved it when she saw it, she said it looks exactly how she wanted...:)

All free motion quilting.... thanks for looking

Beautiful work! Why are you in "hiding". I would love to find someone that does longarm in my area, as I don't like to mail quilts.

The quilt and the quilting are beautiful. I love the old fashioned looking quilts! I am saving fabric to make one for my very own.

A good way to find a quilter is a recommendation from your local quilt shop or to join you local quilt guild/club. The show and tells are inspirational and informative.

I love the circle feathers. I would love to be able to achieve this in my freemotion longarming. Any tips? :)

What a beautiful quilt. I like how you thought to lengthen the stitch to make it look more hand sewn. I'll have to remember that for in the future. Thank you for sharing with us.

Beautiful quilt and beautiful quilting! I love the backing fabric. I am using the same fabric on the back of a 30's quilt that I am hand quilting.

The white blocks were pieced , i looked and judged where the circle should be, made my circle then went into the feathering, my feathers are different, than the traditional one's, I think thats why my ladys like them so much !! but i finish off on a big one and i do a small stitch out to the next block that is hidden in the ditch.. hopes this helps.
