You might want to check out this book promotion for Terrie Linn Kagyar - shows you how to color
with crayola crayons onto your applique pieces - I tried it this morning and it works wonderfully well.
Then I washed those pieces and the color remained the same. Of you may want to purchase her book

I love what you are doing with them! The stitching really makes them stand out.
I started a crayola block last year & of course it is waiting for me to complete it! I'll have to get it done this year maybe!

Can't wait to see your block and what others here do. Please post!

You done a wonderful job. Will you be making into a quilt or wall hanging or what?

All I can say is WOW!! Your birds are breathtaking. I will also be waiting anxiously to see more blocks and the finished quilt.

I had forgotten about using crayons but I think I will now change my border idea. I just finished a top and wanted to applique fall leaves on the outer border but I think coloring them would be so much prettier. Thank you for showing how colorful they turn out.

I plan on making a queen sized quilt with 20 blocks, it could change as I go along since I'm making it up as I go! LOL
