I found out about a Silent Auction the other day that will be happening for a young boy from my home town who has cancer. His mother lived just down the road from me when we were kids and I just had to do something for this.

My 9 year old, who is in the picture, and I went to Hancock Fabrics yesterday to take advantage of their sales along with a few items from my small stash. Here is what I have come up with. I am going to wait until Thursday to get the backing (Another Hancock Sale starting and the backing that I want to use is on sale then). Then I will FMQ it, add a label and mail it to my parents. I hope it goes over well for the Silent Auction.

Great quilt! You work quickly! Good idea to have your son help with the selection.

He has never met any of these people but he has a caring hart and was thrilled about the idea of me doing this. I try to keep him involved as much as possible. :lol: He also watched my cut and is starting to learn how the rotary cutter works with the rulers. He will be working on a quilt in the very near future just to busy at the moment with sports.

The border fabric is beautiful... !!!! and everything goes so great with it.. wonderful job on that quilt... It's absolutely wonderful of you. what you are doing to help out that family..
