Beautiful. You are certainly ambitious to make all those quilts in such a short period of time.

So when you do this pattern do you make a stripped square-color 1 center, surround by color 2strip, surround that with another strip if color1, then cut into four pieces---and by making many of these you can then sew four patch of alternating designs?

This would be one way to do it, and I actually contemplated doing it this way... but then just cut 2.5" strips into the size blocks I needed to make the 4 quarters of each block separately. I think I have less seams this way.

sewbizgirl,
I love the colors you used in your quilt. I'm making crib sized quilt and its much more scrappy.

I hope you will show it to us when you get it finished.

They are all beautiful but WHAT IS A BENTO BOX?

Bento is a Japanese box lunch. I lived in Hawaii for 12 years and the little stores made bento for people to come buy for their lunches. The construction workers got the best ones, because they were up and out the earliest in the morning! If you waited til lunch time, you got the leftovers! I have no idea how this quilt design got named "Bento Box", but I love it and the box lunch, both.
