Bertie's Spring
 

This is a wall hanging from Bonnie Sullivan called Bertie's Spring. It is hand appliquéd using her flannels from Maywood Studios on a light weight wool backing. I asked for and got some help on how to quilt it from people on this board. (Quilting patterns I struggle with) Thank you again for your advice. I hand quilted it by going around the objects and then did a cross hatch in the background and a STITD in the sawtooth borders. It was a fun project and I gave it to my 96 year old mother for Mother's Day. She has it hanging in her assisted living apartment. She used to quilt until she couldn't do it anymore, but still loves to embroidery. Thanks for looking!

omg! this is so beatiful i love everything about it..........love all the blocks but if i had to choose one,the mommy feedings her babies would be my favorite..............happy quilt to look..........beautiful hand quilting
