Finished this mini really quick; the glue is still wet in the picture but it dries clear. This is a raw edge applique superimposed with chickenscratch artwork. It's kind of different. Hope you like this one. It's 7-1/2 inches - forgot to place a coin in there. Here's my bird pattern if you like.

Thanks, sawsan!! In answer to your question, I neither turned the edges under nor glued them. Should have clarified in the beginning that I glued only the buttons on for the eyes and in the pic they look white because the glue was still wet but wd be clear looking in a few hrs after drying. I wasn't very clear - don't know what I was typing. Anyway, the mini is entirely raw edged applique which seems to be a popular way to go these days. Am seeing it more and more and like the looks of it - especially after it's been washed. So glad you like my mini. It sure is different!
