WOW! What a cute apron. I've not been lurking much for a while. How many did you make?

nanabirdmo 12-12-2009 08:28 PM

thanks amma, i'm with you. this apron is just like my great grandma's. she wore one like this all the time when she was at home. and when she went out to work in the garden or pick "poke" she also wore her poke bonnet. i have one of each of these that she wore. i treasure them. one day i may make a "poke bonnet".

nanabirdmo 12-12-2009 08:30 PM

jacquemo, i have posted 2 others in the last 2 days. they were just the little skirt type apron's.

bearisgray 12-12-2009 08:30 PM

I like that one! I need something to cover my upper front - that shelf tends to catch things.

nanabirdmo 12-16-2009 08:19 PM

hi quiltgranny, the chicken fabric came from a walmart in branson west, mo. they were closing out fabric a couple of yrs ago and i just happened to be there. the chicken fabric is actually the border of the red fabric. all one piece. i got both the chicken and sunflower fabrics for $1.00 per yard. i love those deals.
