Just finished this huge totebag from a pattern that appeared in the April 2009 issue of McCall's Quilting. It's by Peggy Sturges, the same one who designed the Bow Tuck Bag. The bag is 18 x 13 x 9.

I used the Moda charm pack "Fresh Cottons" by Fig Tree Quilts plus a few extra squares because it calls for 47 squares and there's only 42 in a pack.

Penny Sturges is my favorite purse/totebag designer.
I have that pattern. I used her dimensions and techniques and made my tote out of "bricks" cut from a jelly roll. The tote is the perfect size for travel or hauling stuff to a friend's home for an afternoon of quilting. Thank you for sharing. Your tote is beautiful :-):-):-) |
