Beautiful quilt, love the little pieced sashing .

What a beautiful quilt! I love the fabrics. The sashing is especially interesting.

I love it--it is gorgeous and so typically "a quilter's quilt" just like they made originally. I'm not into modern looking quilts.

Love your quilt, it looks fabulous!

No.... A kajillion, is right between a gazillion and a bazillion.... you know, where you get a headache and say "why did I think I wanted to do this many pieces on the bias????".... that kind of quilt! ROFL!

Oh I love it! What size is it, double bed? What size are the blocks and finished stars? So pretty and cozy looking. I love the old patterns. Did you design it or was it from a pattern? I'd love to make one. Never saw that kind of sashing and I am in awe of this quilt the whole way around! Love the blue and I'm envisioning it in Bubble Gum pink or 30's yellow too; or maybe the old fashioned lavender that my mother often chose for her aprons and "every day" blouses. Maybe you should name this quilt "Down Memory Lane" ;)

Thanks, Jan. It's a REALLY big quilt. LOL! This one is "officially" king size, but you're seeing it on a queen size bed. I like quilts that go-to-the-floor, so mine typically do, even if I have to add borders to make them do it. It is NOT a difficult quilt to make, so long as you pay attention. And it would be gorgeous done in some of the old fashioned 30s colors and fabrics you and I seem to be drawn to. In this PARTICULAR quilt, it just happened that I wanted that PARTICULAR fabric off my shelves and out of my sewing room, so it got used. As I told a quilting budding of mine, just because I'm not a fan of modern colors and fabrics, doesn't mean someone else won't love it! As long as I do my best to do good work on it, it will get appreciated somewhere. :)

Very pretty! This star was one of my favorite patterns when I started consistently making quilts.

Really pretty quilt, love the colors, and I love the carpenters star, or whatever kind of star it is!
