Biggest challenge so far...

Yes, this is probably one of the simplest quilts- basic blocks. For me though, it was a huge challenge psychologically. I guess I am way more OCD than I ever realized. I need organization, symmetry. This was my very first scrappy- a baby quilt made of pieces of fabric from someone else's stash. The back is an old panel I had, and I was so focused on the front that I did not get it centered before quilting. Don't look too close. I love it, but don't know if I can do another just yet. The Sylvia's Bridal Sampler BOW is doing it for me right now. Thanks for looking.

I think you did a great job. The first quilt is the most difficult. There will be many more days of frustration in the future but everything works out. Keep at it, that is what we all do. This will a delight for a baby.

Very cute! Congratulations on coming out of your comfort zone. I also like more of a coordinated palette.

Not my first quilt ka9sdn- just my first scrappy. My quilts are usually much more planned, but I think I fretted over this more than the others.

I am with you on the OCD! I started a scrappy Arkansas Crossroads - and ended up scrapping it (pun intended)! Your quilt is beautiful!

It looks terrific! I can feel your pain about trouble letting go and being free with fabric selection. Good for you for sticking with it.

You have inspired me to try a scrappy quilt...marvelous job! I like your ideas of both sides being beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

I love your quilt and love the idea of using the panel on the back - great idea!

My daughter is OCD. The first scrappy quilt she worked on made her sick to her stomach. The second day was better and she was happy with the result, but scrappy is not her favorite quilt.
