A very good friend of mine is a beginning quilter. She only had one quilt under her belt. She is an awesome person that has helped me get through a rough year. I decide to surprise her with a birthday/thank you gift. I went through my patterns and found an easy quick pattern. It was a fat quarter quilt. I went thru my stash and found coordinating fqs and yardage. I included everything but the batting. She was so excited. She finish the quilt in about two weeks. Today I got a pic and a wonderful thank you note. She said it wasn't a perfect quilt. But she LOVED it. The gift was one of the best gifts she every received and every time she looks at it she will think of me. My cost 0 and to her it was priceless. I am so happy to be able to share my love of quilting. Win, win!
