Black/Red Civil War Quilt..quilted by Chris

This beauty is called Sherman's March and was made by a customer from Alaska. She has sent us several beautifully pieced quilts to finish, and this one was no different. She used deep black, red, and tan reproduction fabrics. I quilted this with a Baptist Fan design. The back is a South Seas Flourish fabric and while the picture doesn't show the true color, it's a very good match for the red she used in the quilt top. Thanks for looking!

Christine Love this quilt and sent it to a friend who is a Civil War oficionado who found another design by this same name. His search indicated Churn Dash was the original name for Sherman's March. Any one know anything about this or know more? thanks! |
