Love the color in the middle. It really makes the block stand out. Beautiful quilt ;-) ;-)
That is absolutely beautiful. I'd be tempted to add another row so I could use it.
So beautiful!!! Love the idea of black and white with pops of color. :-D
Whatever you decide to do, it is beautiful.
I vote for leaving it as a lap quilt. Visitors don't always go into your bedroom and would miss seeing it. As a lap quilt draped over a couch-back or chair, everyone could share the beauty of this quilt!
So cool! Makes me want to go out and buy blacks and whites!
cool b&w project!
Really gorgeous! I would go bigger!
Every time I see a black and white quilt here, it makes me want to make one. Yours is no exception. It is beautiful. I love the way the colors pop. How nice to trade blocks that way. Make it whatever size you want. It is beautiful either way.
Love it!
Love the fan quilt with the "pop" colors in the middle!!You did a beautiful job!!
Very pretty!
I love the way you have put this together.
Gorgeous! |
Love it. I think it would look great bigger.
I think it would look great on a bed and look at all the color options you would have for pillows!
I think the quilt would look fabulous on your bed but if you stopped now and made it a lap quilt more people would probably see and enjoy it somewhere else in your house.
maybe make the fan portion large enough to fit the top of a bed and add plain or simple pieced borders to bring it to the size your wish it to be.
Very clever, love black and whites/

Wow, I love it. B/W fabrics are great in that quilt.
Okay, could I get the particulars for the blocks. It is fantastic.
Very pretty....gives me an idea for something I was challenged to do - Thanks
I love it.
Wow, I love the way it's put together. If it was me I would add the next row so I could use it on my bed. Really pretty!
I made the blades using the Dresden fan blade template - 7-1/2".... 5 per block. Blocks were 10-1/2" square using tone on tone white..... The circles were about 3-1/2" cut quarters circles from a 4" square of fabric. I faced the circles with self fabric, clipped and turned the seam. I appliqued all the fans to the white and then appliqued the 1/4 circles on top of the blades. If you want, I can send you the directions for making this block. I can also send you the layout I used from the Fan Book I have. You, of course, can make yours any size you want, this just happened to be the size for our swap.
Wow, that is really beautiful, interesting pattern too.
Lovely quilt. I vote for bigger.
I love it, I think it would be okay that size or bigger!!
I would make it bed size in some way - adding several borders - black, then white, then white background with smaller black & white/multi-colored centers fans scattered here and there , and finish with a black binding.
Beautiful.
