Blessings

Our guild has a "round robin" project going. My friend and I decided instead to do just a 2 person project back and forth. Actually it included 4 people, because the framed blocks came from a friend who moved out of town 2 years ago, and another friend coached me in my first long arm quilting experience. "Blessings" celebrates gifts from God, including the beauty of nature, as well as wonderful friends.
Although the quilt involved simple piecing, I put in a "skinny" orange border (not flange) and was happy with the look. Although the picture is not the best, I am pleased with the finished quilt, and it is planned for the Bible camp quilt auction in August if I don't change my mind and keep it for myself! |
Your quilt is lovely. Beautiful job and I like the sentiments of the name

I love your quilt "Blessings". And I hope you don't mind it I use your idea for a quilt for my daughter... I even have the fabric I will use. I bought it for her some time ago, But didn't have a pattern in mind...Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for the picture. I have a couple of bird panels that are tall rectangles and I've had no idea what to do with them, this is a great idea!! Thank you - and I agree. Your first long arm quilting attempt is phenomenal!!!

Thanks for your compliments on my quilting. My curves aren't exactly smooth, but they got better as I went. It was the most simple pantograph I could find in my friend's collection. She was so patient with me and made sure that we were on target with those dots on each roll-up.

Wow - beautiful quilt and quilting. Now I know what to do with the poppy panels I purchased several months ago.
|
I noticed the thin little border immediately....I have tried that in the past, but mine did not come out so straight....may I ask how you did it? And how wide is it?
