Here's some fabric I got recently that I thought would work for the border - it's Outback by Jinny Beyer. It doesn't have the full range of the spectrum, only purple, red and gold but I think it kind of goes. I don't know about anything else at this stage - I thought I'd keep it simple so as to not detract from the effect of the centre. I've got a couple of yards of this so enough to set it either way... but I'm veering back towards straight set again.

The only one I don't care for is the first pic. Border fabric is good.

That is the coolest thing ever!

I never tire of seeing your beautiful work.

Too cool K, it's a bargello with HST's instead of strips!! And I like the square setting best, like someone else said, it makes the optical illusion more noticeable. What's the book again?

ok, I like it straight, is it good for anything other than a wall hanging? I mean can you make a whole quilt of it? would it be multiple blocks like this and then put together or would it be like one big block?
you're getting pretty good at artsy fartsy!
love it

The first set looks like "it's blowing in the breeze"
