I just love all the helpful information you all share. It has been hot so yesterday I did whatever I could so I was right in front of my window AC, including washing the vertical blinds. I hang my sheet on that wall also.

I would appreciate your honest opinions and thoughts. I purchased a group of blocks on ebay. I'm having a time deciding how to put them together. Included are two pictures of different layouts when I put them up on my flannel sheet. I have five more blocks left but they are the red print and I was trying to figure out what to do with the blue print.
One is like a drunkard path, the other is what they advertised them on ebay as a "snowball". I tried to keep the setting fabrics which are all feedsack grouped together. Maybe they should all be randomly spaced.

Thanks for your thoughts.

it's hard to say for sure because the pictures are too teeny tired for my aged eyes ... but i think i like the circles. because of the differing background fabrics, they look as though they're floating around. kinda kewl. :)

I like the circles - less "traditional". They almost look 3-D.

Me too.

It is hard to say. I downloaded them to try and increase their size but they lose all focus when I do that. But from what I can see I would agree with the above opinions. The one the makes the circles does appear to float and looks like it would be quite interesting :-)

They are both nice, but it looks like the cirlce lay out is the clear winner so far!

Yes, I like the circles also...

circles

Well I would have to go against the grain.....I like the top one best....Just seems more interesting to me. Make a pillow out of the red. Do the one you like best....that way it will be a sure winner
:D

I vote for the circles.

The circles do make the quilt pop, but I do like the traditional, also. Either way you will have a beautiful quilt :D

Thanks for all your thoughts. I had to make the pictures small to get them to upload to the site.

I have printed out each of them so I can think about them some more.

Hope everyone is having a great Labor day.

try posting them big.......I do sometimes, it takes a long while sometimes 5 min.........I hate to say without seeing them better

I like the top one better as well. To me it blends better that way...the circles are kinda bold, for me anyway. But like its been said already, its really what's more striking to you that will be the best way.

I like the top one. It has more "movement." :)

DebJ 09-04-2007 09:01 AM

I prefer the top one. I agree it has more movement, your eyes tend to roam all over the quilt. The bottom the background just disapears, at least it does in the photo.
