Beautiful. What size are the blocks?

Boston1954 12-29-2009 02:47 PM

Neato!!! How big are the blocks? They are very impressive.

Junie 12-29-2009 02:57 PM

mary, what are the sizes of the blocks? do you have special patterns or just enlarge them, and how did you do it? Do you have the quilts on a double bed or is it a queen size, I am just amazed at all your quilts.

Junie

marykoch 12-29-2009 02:59 PM

they are on a regular bed size. the blocks came with instructions to make them that size.

marykoch 12-29-2009 03:03 PM

Mary, I love your quilt and the colors are beautiful. The Sunflower shop in Derby, KS is one of my favorites. I am in Okla. City and go to Kansas often, stopping by all the shops on the way! My pgm was half German and last name was Koch. We had family in Buffalo, Ok. Small world, right.

marykoch 12-29-2009 07:28 PM

I am normally not keen on sampler quilts but yours really hit my fancy for some reason. Maybe it's your colors or the blocks themselves I'm not sure but whatever it is - bravo! You made me think differently of sampler quilts!! I can see why it made you want to start piecing!!

Elisabrat 02-23-2010 12:49 PM

That is a very beautiful quilt. Huge blocks! The first pic has a wonderful block that is hanging half off the side of the bed? that has terrific motion to it. The colors really give the effect of a spinning, turning wheel?

rootyr 02-23-2010 03:41 PM
