The quilt is beautiful and the colors are so warm and inviting. Have you considered a wide dark brown border that is mitered at the corners?

adding borders, as many as you like to get it to the size you want. oh yea the quilt is beautiful

I like the idea a peiced block border, there are many that would look good, either the flying geese already mentioned, or a border made from smaller versions of the blocks in the quilt, maybe 6 inch stars, using any star you prefer from all the same colors in the quilt, then finish a solid color border, you could add over a foot to each side that way; there is always a way to enlarge a quilt, just keep adding pretty borders...
