9 patches were about 3-4 inches finished. The quilt just hangs down a few inches off the top of a queen bed. If I hadn't messed up seam sizes it would have been 6 inches larger all the way around!

jaymemade 04-28-2011 05:03 PM

Way cool.

Yours looks very good.

one of my biggest problems was that it was a surprise and I had to handle it alot to hide it from my daughter. Some of the seams separated after I did the strip quilt cutting. Lots of re-sewing and the whole re-squaring!! Keep going... the finish is worth it!

jojosnana 04-28-2011 05:09 PM

WOW

yes they are. You blend each 9patch with the next fabric as you go. Strip cut!

peabee 04-29-2011 03:55 AM

Courageous color/fabric selections with great results! If any seam intersections don't match who on earth would know (or even care)! It's beautiful!
I have had this quilt pattern to use, but the cover photos feature 'tame' creams, light blues and rose shades. The brights you've used totally change my idea of what is possible. Thanks!

nabobw 04-29-2011 05:05 AM
