Blooming Hexagons -- English Paper Piecing

I took a great class on English paper piecing a few months ago, as I purchased a 1930s vintage "Grandmother/s Flower Garden" quilt a few years back that needs repair and to be finished. Luckily a got extra loose blocks and fabric along with the quilt.

Here is my first project creating hexagon flowers using English paper piecing. I used prepurchased 1" cardboard hexagons to make each hexagon and then hand pieced the hexagons to create each flower. I also used fused applique and a variety of stitches to attached the hexagon flowers to the background. In addition I tried the confetti quilting technique using Bo-Nash power to create a spagnum moss look in the top of the pot. That was fun and a technique I'm going to play around with more. I watched the Gail Hunt video on the confetti quilting technique video that was posted on the board a while back:
