WOW! Like you, I have admired all the bargellos posted to this board. I have yet to make one. Yours is very inspiring! Absolutely beautiful!

That is beautiful! I have been looking for a pattern to make one for our bed. But so far haven't come across one I like. It is a lot like doing an Irish Chain where you have to have all those little squares all lined up in the right rows. That is one of my UFOs that I need to finish this year. But it will give me practice to make one like yours.
Great job!

Is it done with strips? If so, stitch-in-the-ditch, at least up & down, wouldn't show. I use the Superior Threads "invisible" mono-poly (not nylon) thread so it doesn't really show in the crosswise quilting either.

OMG! 48 - 72 hours and 2 days! I will make something else this time, I think. I need to get mine done before 2020 :)

I'm in the middle of a bargello and am wondering about how to quilt it, when I finish it - I know what you mean by labour intensive! As you say there's a ton of thread and all those seams - so I'll read through all of this posting hoping our friends will help us both!

Your quilt is absolutely beautiful. I don't have the courage to try a Borgello.
