I finished this block, then saw something wrong! I've since taken it apart and fixed it lol I'm making a second block, in the process of cutting squares and strips. I'll post more progress hopefully later in the day.

Wow, that is great. Who would have thought that jeans could be made into a block that looks like that. How creative.

looks great

Astramorgaine 02-08-2010 05:00 AM

Thanks :) I plan on working on it some more at some point today, but have a sick 17 year old at home and a 12 year old who neglected to put her own laundry in the dryer last night, that I will be driving to school late :( It's a MONDAY blech!

I like that pattern. Wonderful look to it. Bet it would be wonderful for the troops.

Lovely.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to put on a row upside down!

You're so creative, blue jeans, who knew?

Astramorgaine 02-08-2010 10:38 AM

http://blankie.made4usa.com/index.html is where I found the idea. I was just going to cut my jeans up into a bunch of squares for a quilt, but then found this.

Thank you for sharing the information. I was going to PM you for it, it will be perfect for some of my warrior quilts AND I have the denim.

Hugs

My daughter picked out the backing... it's flannel monkies with rainbows :) I'm bringing the back to front to bind it.

Thanks :) It's all done and she loves it! I think that's the best reward in doing these, the enjoyment that comes from it.

Wow! Great idea for a Blue jean quilt! Thanks for posting. I have a pile of old jeans and was starting to wonder what to do with them.
