Blue & White Batik Carpenter's Star

What a fun quilt to make! Relatively quick too! I knew I needed to lengthen it as the intended recipient is well over 6' tall. I had over cut the # of squares I needed so i used those miscuts in the top and bottom borders. Used 2 blue batiks and a creamy batik for the top, then had a hard time coming up with fabric for the backing but I knew I wanted the quilting to show on it - ended up going with a stonehenge back. I'm really happy with how this turned out! I picked out the quilting designs but due to time restraints, my Mom laq'ed it for me. Thanks so much for looking! I'm probably over posting pics but.... ;)
