Bold, Bright, Busy and Colorful

OMG, this is a beautiful, FANTASTIC quilt! WOW!!! I hope and pray the recipient loves and appreciates your hard work - and handquilted at that!!! I am blown away by its beauty and wow, I want to make one of those, so it will definitely go on my bucket list!!!

Ikesgram 08-03-2013 09:33 AM

Thank you for sharing this beautiful quilt with all of us. The colors may not be your favorites but I see them in the flower beds on the mini horses pictures. Someday --maybe not yet--your DGD will really appreciate everything of all the techniques you have used. A beautiful stretch for you and an Irish Chain may be easier but not so cherished as you do it. I love this quilt !!!

Oh my no. Not me. I would NEVER get it finished by her wedding and she is only 10. There is an Amish lady nearby that does beautiful work and she did the Diamond Log Cabin Star quilt that was previously posted in maybe April. You are right, I would never get another top made if I were quilting that as well, but it usually doesn't take her a terrible long time to do it either.

Luv Quilts and Cats 08-04-2013 12:17 PM

Stunning quilt! I am glad you persevered and learned new things along the way. And stepped out of your comfort zone. I stepped out of mine and began a bargello. Your quilt is so pretty but not sure I am ready for all those diamonds!

Funny you should say that because I look at bargellos and think I could never do that.

Exquisite. How absolutely lovely. My grands are getting flannel quilts they will roll up in on the floor and drag around. You have created heirloom quilts to be treasured and handed from one generation to another. Thank you.
