It's amazing and I love the setting so that all those little squares migrate into the border. Well done for persevering.

Beautiful! I love how the chain goes into the border!

butterflyquilter 07-25-2009 07:18 PM

Wow--it's beautiful! I love the colors. I hope your husband takes good care of it. My husband was working on my son's car one day and my son gave him a quilt I had made to lay on under the car! My husband asked him if he was nuts! So at least someone does appreciate how much work goes into a quilt! My son is lots older now and I think he finally apprecaites them (thanks to his wife!)

sewnsewer2 07-25-2009 08:25 PM

Oh my, and you are still sane? Just kidding.

I love it!!!!!!!!!

Janstar 07-26-2009 07:38 PM

Thanks everyone for the comments! At times I thought it would do me in but I finally made it. The book is called 'Better by the Dozen' by Susan Teagarden Dissmore. There are a dozen different blocks in there and several choices of layouts and enhancements. We had 6 months to do them, doing 2 or more blocks a month. This layout required 18 blocks so some are duplicated with different fabric and colors. It was a challenge and hopefully made me a better quilter by doing it. It's not perfect believe me!

Justquilting 07-27-2009 04:38 AM

You did an amazing job!
I love the way the black & gray pop!

sewjoyce 07-27-2009 04:40 AM

That is just beautiful!!!! And if hubby doesn't take good care of it, I'll certainly give it a wonderful home....
