Tehachapi is in California. It is half way between where I am in Ridgecrest (Mojave Desert/Death Valley) and Bakersfield. They are in the mountains and have wonderful apple orchards (among other things).

Oh a good reminder for me to get going on my youngest 4 grands quilts for Halloween. The two oldest have one but will make more. Your quilts are awesome. I love their kits and fabrics too.

How beautiful - what great memories

Yes, Tehachapi is in the mountains - and it's 10 to 20 degrees cooler at this time of year than Ridgecrest or Bakersfield. Thanks to all of you who like the quilts. The little helper is one of our granddaughters who is now 9. She's the one who is fascinated by all things quilted. Next summer I'm going to have her make her first quilt.
