Boom 8 quilt

This is a quilt I made as a house warming present for friends that lost their house in a fire. The center is the sailing ship "Bluenose". The surrounding blocks are from the sapphire group in boom 8. If you do not see your block here it is being used in a lap quilt. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful quilt! Love your Bluenose center panel! Is it appliqué?

Absolutely stunning!!! What a lucky family to receive this quilt. I'm sure they will be delighted. Sorry to hear that their house burned down. That's a shame.

Yes the center is applique and what a pain it was to do. However I am now happy with it.

WOW!!! What a spectacular quilt. The Boom group made some great blocks but your finished product done with them is just breathtaking. I love how you quilted it and all the nautical fabrics compliment your applique centerpiece so well. Your mitred corners with those border prints is the icing on the cake. That quilt is show worthy. What a wonderful gift for your friends. I am sure they will be speechless when you present it.

Wow spectacular is the word. I love the pattern and the nautical fabrics. Something wonderful out of something sad.
