I wonder if anyone has suggestions for border fabric for this center? I can't remember which Bali Pop I used.

I'd use a more solid one for a narrow inner border, Hoffman 1895 type, and a larger print for the outside border. You might want to lay out some different ones and see if one pops out at you more than the others. Would that have been the mulberry collection?

I agree

Do you really need one?

It is so pretty, love the colors

I believe it is Mulberry. Which happens to be the small town I lived in as a teenager!

It is too small to be used on a bed. It really needs borders.

A black 2 or 4 inch border would be really nice...

I would suggest dark gray or charcoal solid for border.

An 1 1/2" wide one in a strong color - black or purple, maybe, to contain the colors in the quilt, then a 5 inch of your favorite quilt print, unless you feel like making piano keys. With all the stripes in the quilt, a non pieced border will be fine.

Sew Nicely Done!!!
The fabrics/colours have come together nicely.

Is this one jelly roll of 2-1/2" strips ... how many strips?

I was thinking a non-pieced border of a solid color would look nice, too! Beautiful top. I am planning to do one, also. How many jelly rolls did you use?

1 jelly role. All the strips.

1 jelly roll. Simple jelly roll pattern. Found it here.

What size did it work out to?
And how much would you like it to grow?

I didn't measure it. It just covers the top of a double bed mattress. I want to add borders to make it useful on a double bed. I was thinking about adding a lime green 1 1/2 inch around. Then a rust 3 inch around. Finally a 5 inch purple around. That would add 19 inches to the entire quilt.

I love it. Would use two solid colors....the wine and dark blue maybe. I think a print would take away from it.
