I can't decide if this is done or not. It was a mini round robin with a couple of my bestest quilt buddies. Was thinking a border of 2" blocks using the colored fabrics from the quilt. OR do I just call it done and add a binding using the colored fabrics? I need a name for too.....my daughter usually hits it right on the mark with a name, but we are all coming up blank on this one. Thanks for your help :-D

I would put a border on with one of the colors thats in the quilt. Love it!

dunster 08-07-2011 06:29 AM

That is a gorgeous quilt and will look entirely finished if you bind it now. I would base the decision on whether you want the quilt to be larger, rather than on whether it needs a border.

Can't help with a name though.

Would prarie points be to much using the same colors from the quilt?

Name. Spinning Leaves?

Ditto. It looks perfect and ready to be quilted unless you want it bigger.

Beautiful-I'd call it done.

Charlee 08-07-2011 06:48 AM

I wouldn't border it either...

Reminds me of leaves blowing in a fall wind... "Winds of Time"?

Muv 08-07-2011 06:57 AM

Really pretty. Just bind it. Autumn Breeze.

hobo2000 08-07-2011 07:19 AM

If you need it bigger, I would add a 5" border of the same color as the background that could have some beautiful feathering and then the dark binding. This would "float the design". It is lovely and I agree with "autumn breezes".

Autumn Spinners

Beautiful!!! I love the quilt. If it is large enough for a lap I think it is perfect as it is.
Are the leaves hand or machine appliqued????

SugarCookie 08-07-2011 08:53 AM

I would border it with the same fabric as the backing. It is a very beautiful piece. I would call it "Thanksgiving".

alikat110 08-07-2011 09:01 AM

I like it as is. Bind in background fabric. Stumped on name...great suggestions above.

greensleeves 08-07-2011 09:07 AM

I have difficulty naming quilts too but "Whirlwind" came to mind for yours. BTW, it is beautiful, my favorite colors.

Beautiful quilt! It looks good with no border, and I am sure it would look good with a border. I am glad you are deciding, and not me!

Halo 08-07-2011 09:18 AM

It is a beautiful quilt. You done good girl. I would just put a dark binding on it. Falling or Tumbling Leaves.

MadQuilter 08-07-2011 09:24 AM

I think it's done. Sure is pretty.

Jaynie 08-08-2011 05:26 AM

The leaves are machine appliqued.

Jaynie 08-08-2011 05:27 AM
