My first machine! It's a Janome Magnolia 7330!

I've never quilted before and haven't sewn for 10 years so the woman in the store (Eddies Quilting Bee if you are in the SF Bay Area) helped me thread it and wind a bobbin. I bought a spool of thread and then my sister picked out some fabric and I bought half a yard so I'd have something to sew on.

When I got home, I put it on the table and my cat started to rub against it. I figured that cat hair probably isn't the best thing to get inside a machine so I made my first project- a sewing machine cover!

I'm going to attach some pics.

I'm so excited to go to my first quilting class next month!

Looks like you might end up with a bit of dog hair too! Glad your cat gave it the seal of approval. Enjoy and be sure to post pictures of your first quilt made with it.

You should be very happy with that machine. I have the Janome 2007 LE and love it!! Looks like they have the same features.
