I happen to stop in a store named Alco and they were running a special on their fabrics. 2 yards for $3.00 and if you bought $30.00 in the store, they took an additional $10.00 off your bill. I figured that if I bought 20 yards of fabric at 1.50 a yard, that comes to 30.00. Then they took off an additional 10.00, that brought it down to 1.00yard. (WOW!) They had some nice Thimbleberries, South Sea, Timeless Treasures. I went back yesterday and bought 20 more yard. Here is a picture of my 40 yards.
I stocked up on some WOW and COW and COC. |

What part of Indiana are you in? I've never heard of this store before but think I would love too. :D

I've never heard of Alco. Is it a fabric store?

Oh wow! Good for you!!! :)

Alco is like a the dime stores used to be. One step above Dollar General and not near as big as Walmart. The one I went to is located in Hartford City, IN, about 30 minutes north of Muncie.

What a great SEX! When you get great finds like that, do you buy in yards or are they already cut? It looks like you have fat quarters there?

I bought mostly 1 yard of the black and whites, with 2 yards of the stripe for bindings on the bias. The cat print is over 7 yards. I thought it would make a great backing. Got 2 yards of the John Deere print to make pillowcases for the boys. A couple of others I bought 2yards just because I liked it. The white and creams I got 4 yards each. You never know when you will need it.
Total 42 yards at $1.00 a yard, can't got wrong there. Mary |
